Haute Music: Armin van Buuren Brings the ASOT 500 tour to Miami, USA

Armin Van Buuren, the worlds #1 DJ is bringing his globally proclaimed radio show, A State of Trance to the United States for a 500th episode celebration, and what better way to celebrate than Miami’s Ultra Music Festival? Celebrating ten years, a series of five weeks, five continents, five separately aired live broadcasts, one electronic music pioneer. While there may be one man behind the decks, delivering his take on trance and progressive, van Buuren has invited many of his colleagues and fellow DJs along to play alongside himself throughout the course of the five events. Joining Armin Van Buuren in Miami this Sunday are Ferry Corsten, ATB, Gareth Emery, Sander Van Doorn, Alex M.O.R.P.H, Cosmic Gate and Marcus Schossow.

Buuren who is also scheduled to headline Ultra Music Festival’s main stage on Saturday night, will have an entire ASOT 500 tent, fully equipped with a light show, worldwide trance family and a live broadcast by Digitally Imported Radio. Miami being the second stop on Armin’s A State of Trance 500 tour, following last weekend’s spectacle in Johannesburg, South Africa, the tour will continue in Buenos Aires Argentina on 4/2 and Den Bosch Netherlands on 4/9, wrapping up in Sydney Australia on 4/16.

When the 26th annual Winter Music Conference also held in Miami announced it would be held two weeks earlier for the first time since the start of Ultra Music Festival, many party-goers and festival attendees were forced to make a decision as to whether or not they would attend the traditional WMC or be one of the festivals some odd 100,000 attendees. For the first time in the history of the festival, an extra day was added in 2011 making the festival span Friday-Sunday. One thing is for certain, if Ultra Music Festival was concerned with ticket sales due to the absence of the music conference this year, the now sold out 3-day bonanza is proof that nothing comes between the love of the music.

Among Armin Van Buuren, Ultra Music Festival 2011 headlines also include The Chemical Brothers, Tiesto, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Moby, Kaskade, Underworld, Duran Duran, Avicii, Will.I.Am, Carl Cox, Fedde Le Grand, Sasha, Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki, BT and Trentemoller – just to name a few. Winning the International Dance Music Award (IDMA) for Best Music Event 2011, Ultra Music Festival is sure to be one of the years hottest electronic dance music festival.
